Fire at Indian Hospital Kills 6 Patients
according to the English section of webangah News Agency, citing Mehr news Agency and Reuters, a fire erupted at the largest government hospital in India, located in the city of Jaipur in the northwest region. The blaze claimed the lives of at least six patients.
Officials reported that the incident was apparently caused by an electrical short circuit.Five other individuals sustained injuries.
Anurag Dakad, an official at Sawai Man Singh Hospital, stated that the fire started in the Intensive Care Unit (ICU) and led to the release of toxic gases.
He added that five patients are currently in critical condition while 13 others were safely evacuated from two hospital wards.
Authorities confirmed that most of the hospital’s equipment was destroyed during firefighting efforts that lasted nearly two hours.
