Thunberg: A Genocide Is Unfolding Before Our Eyes in Gaza

According to the English section of webangah News Agency,⁣ citing Mehr ⁣News Agency and Anadolu Agency, Swedish activist Greta Thunberg, after‍ her‍ release from detention by Israeli forces, spoke at a welcome event on Monday ⁤at‍ Eleftherios‌ Venizelos Airport​ in Athens, Greece. She ‌said: “Believe me, I could speak at length about the mistreatment and abuses I ⁤experienced during my detention by ⁣Israeli ‍occupiers. But that is not the story here.A ⁤genocide is happening ‍right before our eyes-⁢ a live genocide.”

Thunberg continued: “No‌ one has the ‌right to claim ignorance about ‍what⁢ is happening. No one in the future can say they did not know. What has occurred here is that Israel continues to ⁢worsen and intensify its genocidal campaign and collective destruction ⁣with ⁤genocidal intent while ⁢trying ⁤to annihilate an entire population ‍- an entire nation – before your very ⁣eyes.”

She added: ⁢”what we ⁤did was the least we could do ‍for Gaza.Our officials will not represent their people genuinely until they stop the war in Gaza.”
