Maduro Announces Foiled Plot to Attack US Embassy in Caracas
According to the English section of webangah News agency, citing Qatar’s Al Jazeera and Mehr News agency, Venezuelan media reported that President Nicolás maduro said Venezuelan intelligence agencies uncovered a plan to attack the United States embassy in Caracas.
Maduro stated: “Our intelligence sources exposed a scheme to assault the Washington embassy in Caracas, and we have informed American authorities about the details of this plot.”
He added that the Venezuelan government has shared all relevant data regarding this plan with Washington.
The president indicated that evidence suggests a group of extremists and terrorists intended to carry out an attack by planting a bomb at the US embassy in Caracas.
Maduro did not provide further details or disclose the name of this group.
