Norway Cautiously Optimistic About Trump’s Gaza Plan
The Norwegian Deputy Foreign Minister told webangah News Agency, citing Al jazeera, that Norway stands with the civilians who have suffered from violations of international law in Gaza. He added that Norway will continue playing a central role provided that the Israeli-Palestinian conflict persists.
He emphasized Norway’s desire to contribute positively to peace between Palestinians and Israelis. “Countries that do not recognize the State of Palestine have no influence over us,” he said.
The official continued, “Our recognition of Palestine reflects our clear support for the so-called two-state solution. we fear no consequences regarding our stance on the Palestinian issue.We are confident that supporting a two-state solution and pursuing a peaceful agreement is the right course.”
Expressing cautious optimism about President Trump’s plan, he described it as a step forward. “Achieving a peaceful resolution to end the Israeli-palestinian conflict is crucial,” he concluded.
