German Chancellor: Drone Incidents Threaten Our Security
According to the English section of webangah News Agency, citing Al Jazeera via Mehr News Agency, German Chancellor Friedrich Merz stated today, Wednesday, that drone incidents pose a security threat and that Germany will not permit this threat to continue.
The Chancellor added that the government is strengthening federal police powers to enable faster identification of drones and quicker responses in future incidents.
Merz previously identified Russia as responsible for recent drone events and airspace violations over Germany. He noted that one recent incident disrupted dozens of flights at munich Airport, leaving more than 10,000 passengers stranded.
