Hamas: Desecration of Al-Aqsa Mosque Reveals Occupiers’ Fascist Mindset
The Palestinian Islamic Resistance Movement, Hamas, issued a statement today on the 35th anniversary of the first massacre at Al-Aqsa Mosque on October 8, 1990. It reported that Itamar Ben-Gvir, Israel’s extremist Minister of Internal security, along with a group of settlers, stormed al-Aqsa Mosque.
Hamas described this act as provocative and deliberate. The movement stressed that this behaviour reflects the fascist mentality of the occupying government and its intention to violate the sanctity of Al-Aqsa while provoking Muslims worldwide.
The statement added that this aggression is not an isolated incident but an assertive message aimed at solidifying temporal and spatial division policies and imposing full control over Al-Aqsa by the occupiers. This action is part of a comprehensive plan to Judaize Jerusalem and target its Arab and Islamic identity.
Hamas emphasized that Jerusalem and Al-Aqsa mosque are red lines for Palestinians. Continued violations will never change the mosque’s Islamic character.
The movement called upon Palestinians in Jerusalem, the West Bank, and areas occupied since 1948 to hold steadfast sit-ins in Al-Aqsa courtyards to protect it through constant presence.
Hamas also urged Arab and Islamic countries along with international organizations to fulfill their political, legal, and moral responsibilities by working urgently to halt this ongoing war and continuous aggression.
