Putin: Russia and Tajikistan to Cooperate on Defense and Security
According to the English section of webangah News Agency, citing RIA Novosti via Mehr news Agency, Russian President Vladimir putin and Tajikistan President Emomali Rahmon began thier bilateral talks today, Thursday, in the city of Dushanbe.
During the meeting, Putin stated that relations between Russia and Tajikistan are positively developing across all sectors. He emphasized that Russia and Tajikistan continuously cooperate in defense and security domains.
Putin added that Russia and Tajikistan are reliable allies, a fact Moscow highly values.
Simultaneously occurring, President Rahmon noted that Russia and Tajikistan actively work to expand economic ties. He highlighted a steady increase in bilateral trade turnover between the two countries.
