Hamas: Netanyahu Aims to Block Ceasefire Implementation
The english section of webangah News Agency, citing Palestinian Shihab News Agency via Mehr News Agency, reported that Hamas issued a statement in response to a new attack by the Zionist regime on Gaza.
The statement read: “The horrific massacre carried out by the Zionist regime in its attack on a residential home in Gaza is another brutal crime through which Netanyahu’s criminal war government intends to create chaos, disrupt mediators’ efforts, and prevent enforcement of the agreement aimed at halting war and aggression against gaza.”
Hamas added: “The massacres and systematic crimes committed by the occupiers against defenseless civilians-including women, children, and elderly-reveal the true face of this hateful and bloodthirsty entity. This confirms this fascist regime’s insistence on continuing genocide until its final moments.”
The movement called on mediators and the U.S. government to take responsibility for these brutal crimes instantly and intervene to compel the occupiers to stop targeting innocent children and defenseless civilians.
In another new crime, the occupying Zionist forces targeted a residential building in southern Gaza City with an airstrike, killing at least four people and wounding nine others.
The report also indicates several individuals remain missing following destruction of the targeted building.
At the same time, Israeli forces shelled Tel al-Hawa neighborhood in southern Gaza city with artillery fire.
These Israeli attacks occurred despite prior announcements that no strikes would take place following implementation of a ceasefire at noon local time thursday.
The ceasefire agreement between Hamas and Israel was signed Thursday afternoon in Sharm el-Sheikh, egypt.
