Macron: We Are Considering Forming a Hamas-Free Interim Government in Gaza Strip
According to the English section of webangah News Agency,citing Rosalyum,french President Emmanuel Macron said on Thursday that the establishment of an interim government for the Gaza Strip involving Palestinians but excluding Hamas is being discussed.
Speaking at a meeting of Arab, European, and Asian foreign ministers in Paris, he asserted that disarming Hamas is essential for achieving sustainable peace.
Macron added that an international force should be deployed with cooperation from Jordan and Egypt to stabilize Gaza, and France is ready to play a role in this effort.
He also condemned accelerated settlement construction in the West Bank as unacceptable and described it as an existential threat to Palestine.
Notably, a ceasefire agreement between Hamas and Israel was signed on Thursday afternoon in Sharm El-Sheikh, egypt.
