UNRWA: 6,000 Aid Trucks Ready to Enter Gaza Strip
The spokesperson for the United Nations Relief adn Works Agency for Palestine Refugees (UNRWA) said they have never ceased operations in Gaza during the conflict.”We maintained a workforce of 12,000 and lost over 170 staff members throughout the war,” he stated.
Jonathan Fuller added, “We are waiting for approval to begin distributing aid within Gaza. we have warehouses stocked in Egypt and Jordan, and people in Gaza urgently need food, medicine, and all essential supplies.”
He emphasized that conditions are constantly evolving on the ground and called for immediate removal of obstacles blocking access through Gaza crossings. “Life in Gaza must return to normal without delay.”
the UNRWA spokesperson also noted that Israel has enforced regulations since last year that hinder coordination between involved parties. He stressed, “We currently have 6,000 aid trucks prepared to enter Gaza.”
