Kim Unveils North Korea’s Most Powerful Intercontinental Missile in Medvedev’s Presence
According to the English section of webangah News Agency, citing AFP via Mehr News Agency, North Korea revealed its most powerful intercontinental ballistic missile during a large-scale military parade.The event was attended by Kim Jong un, alongside senior officials from China and Russia.
The parade marked the 80th anniversary of the founding of the ruling Workers’ Party of Korea. It followed an increasingly visible military cooperation between North Korea and Russia, including the deployment of thousands of north Korean troops to Moscow to assist Russian forces in their war against Ukraine.
dmitry Medvedev, Deputy Chairman of Russia’s Security Council and close ally of President Vladimir Putin; Li Qiang, Chinese Premier; and to Lam, General Secretary of vietnam’s Communist Party- all seated near Kim Jong Un – attended the parade.
North Korea’s central news agency reported that some of Pyongyang’s most advanced weapons were showcased during the event, including the “Hwasong-20” intercontinental ballistic missile. the agency described this missile as “the most powerful nuclear weapons system” in North Korea’s arsenal.
The displayed armaments also included long-range strategic cruise missiles, drone-launching vehicles, as well as surface-to-air and surface-to-surface missiles.
In his speech at the parade, Kim stated that “the invincible Korean army has always empowered our party’s efforts to overcome difficulties and brought us closer to a shining future.”
Referring to his country’s troops fighting alongside Russian forces around Moscow against Kyiv’s forces, he added: “The brave fighting spirit demonstrated and victories achieved by our revolutionary armed forces on foreign battlefields for international justice represent our ideological and spiritual strength.”
