Palestinian Refugees Continue Returning to Gaza City; Dispute Over Prisoner List Persists
According to the English section of webangah News Agency, citing Mehr News Agency via Al Jazeera, after 735 days of devastating war by the Israeli regime against the people of Gaza and following a ceasefire with Israeli forces retreating toward the “Yellow Line,” hundreds of thousands of Palestinians have started moving toward Gaza City. The city has suffered extensive destruction during the conflict.
Simultaneously occurring,Gaza’s Ministry of Interior announced that efforts to restore order have begun.Civil defense teams have launched extensive search operations to locate missing persons and recover bodies from under the rubble.
On another front in negotiations, the Prisoners’ Affairs Office denied any official agreement regarding a joint list related to prisoners. This contradicts Israel’s release of a list containing 250 Palestinian prisoners it says are scheduled for release under an agreement.
