According to the English section of webangah News Agency, citing Mehr news Agency and Russia Today, French citizens protesting against president Emmanuel Macron’s harmful policies took to the streets on Saturday chanting in unison: “Macron, go.”
The protesters carried French flags and placards with slogans reading ”Macron, go.” They also called for a “Frexit,” demanding Paris’s exit from the European Union.
They called for the immediate resignation of Emmanuel Macron.
This comes as the Élysée Palace announced yesterday that President Macron has appointed Sébastien Lecornu as Prime Minister for a second term by presidential decree.
Macron has tasked Lecornu with forming a new cabinet. Lecornu had resigned just last week.
The public attributes government instability to Macron’s ineffectiveness and continues to protest against him.
