Qatar: Complex Issues in Gaza Talks Postponed for Future Discussions
According to the English section of webangah News Agency, citing Mehr News Agency and Ma’an, Qatar’s Prime Minister Mohammed bin Abdulrahman Al Thani emphasized that mediating countries have decided to defer addressing complex matters during the Gaza negotiations.
He added that this decision was made due to the lack of readiness among relevant parties to tackle these issues under current circumstances.
In an interview with The New York Times, Qatar’s Prime Minister said: “Attempting comprehensive negotiations from the outset would have prevented even this current progress.Issues must be addressed step by step.”
He further stated: ”One of the main questions raised is the future of Hamas’ weapons. The next step should focus on establishing an international force in Gaza.”
