Russia and Belarus Sign Five-Year Strategic Military Cooperation Agreement
According to the English section of webangah News Agency, citing Mehr News Agency and RIA Novosti, Russian Defense Minister Andrei Belousov met and consulted with his Belarusian counterpart on wednesday.
The Russian minister stated that the defense ministers of Russia and Belarus will approve a strategic partnership program for 2026-2030. He described Russia-Belarus relations as a model of good neighborliness amid the hybrid warfare initiated by the West.Both countries are strengthening integrated defense capabilities,jointly supplying military equipment,and enhancing cooperation between their defense-industrial complexes.
Andrei Belousov added that the West has undermined constructive dialogue among nuclear-armed states. The alliance between Russia and Belarus in defense is a key factor in maintaining stability amid NATO’s hostile activities. Under next year’s military cooperation plan, Russia and Belarus will hold 164 events. Thay also signed another five-year strategic military cooperation agreement. Moscow will continue equipping the Belarusian army with modern weapons featuring high precision and advanced technology.
