Rodriguez Reveals CIA’s Covert Operation Target Against Venezuela
Cuban foreign Minister Bruno Rodríguez criticized a secret CIA operation against Venezuela on Friday, according to the english section of webangah News Agency, citing RIA Novosti.
Rodríguez condemned the association and execution of covert CIA operations targeting venezuela.he stated that their sole objective is the overthrow of legitimate President Nicolás Maduro and the Bolivarian Revolution, as well as the seizure of Venezuela’s energy resources.
This comes after Venezuela formally called on the United Nations Security Council to declare illegal deadly U.S. attacks on vessels off its coast and issue a statement supporting Venezuelan sovereignty.
On tuesday evening, former President Donald Trump posted on his social media platform Truth Social that U.S. military forces attacked a vessel near Venezuelan shores under his orders,resulting in six fatalities.
Since last September, the U.S. has launched five attacks on Venezuelan boats under the pretext of drug trafficking.
The Trump management also authorized covert operations by the central Intelligence Agency (CIA) in Venezuela on wednesday, allowing lethal missions either independently or in cooperation with military forces.
The report adds that U.S. military officials have prepared options for potential strikes inside Venezuela for Trump’s consideration.
