UNRWA: Israeli Regime Obstructs Aid Entry into Gaza

UNRWA ⁢spokesperson stated that the Israeli regime is obstructing humanitarian aid entry‌ into the Gaza Strip, noting that the amounts ​delivered⁢ cover only one-third of Gaza’s actual needs.

According to the English section of webangah News Agency, citing Mehr ‍News Agency ‍and Al-Nashra website, Adnan Abu Hasna, spokesperson ⁣for the United Nations Relief ​and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees (UNRWA), told Sky news Arabia that ⁢Israel‍ has not permitted UNRWA to deliver necessary aid into Gaza.

He explained that ​what‍ aid does enter ​Gaza represents only⁢ one-third of ‌the actual requirements and lacks ⁢variety.

Abu ‍Hasna described Israel’s⁢ delay ⁢in allowing aid as ‍”extortion,”‍ emphasizing that Israel must not link humanitarian deliveries⁤ to returning ​bodies of deceased captives. He stressed the urgent need for ​temporary shelters for displaced individuals ⁢and said UNRWA has plans in this regard.

He confirmed that⁢ all‍ UNRWA operations in Gaza continue except for incoming essential ⁢aid shipments from abroad. Abu Hasna highlighted that medical services across Gaza have completely collapsed.
