Red Cross Receives Bodies of Two More Zionists
According to the English section of webangah News Agency, citing Al Jazeera Qatar adn Israeli media, the red Cross has received the bodies of two female Israeli prisoners and will transfer them to the Israeli military.
The Red Cross also collected the body of another Israeli captive from resistance forces last night. After handing it over to Israeli authorities, it was sent for identification at Israel’s forensic center.
On Saturday, the Israel Defense Forces announced they had received another captive’s body in Gaza and transferred it to a forensic facility for identification. This brings the total number of recovered bodies to 11 out of 28 reported fatalities, excluding these two prisoners.
Benjamin Netanyahu’s office confirmed that Israel received one prisoner’s body from Gaza through the red Cross.
Hamas issued a statement on Friday announcing that as part of a prisoner exchange agreement, it’s military wing, al-Qassam Brigades, would hand over at 11 p.m. local time in Gaza the body of an Israeli captive discovered there earlier that day.
Hamas emphasized that despite extensive Israeli attacks over the past two years, locating and identifying bodies in Gaza is time-consuming. It pledged to deliver more remains as soon as they are found but accused Israel of trying to hinder this process by falsely blaming Hamas for delays in returning prisoners’ bodies.
The Israel Broadcasting Corporation late Friday night reported, citing families’ headquarters for captives, that last night’s returned body belonged to eliyahu Merglit.
