Human Rights Watch Issues Stern Statement Against Israeli Regime
The English section of webangah News agency, citing Mehr News Agency and Al Jazeera, reported that Euro-Mediterranean Human Rights Monitor issued a statement sharply condemning the systematic destruction of projects, infrastructure, and housing units that have been wholly or partially funded by the European Commission and EU countries.
These projects were mainly implemented through Palestinian civil society organizations or United Nations bodies, especially the United Nations Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees (UNRWA). They have been destroyed in Gaza over the past two years amid what is described as genocide by the Israeli regime.
In its press release, Euro-Mediterranean Human Rights Monitor emphasized that Israel’s systematic demolition not only targets physical property but also vital systems established to guarantee Palestinians’ basic rights to access clean water, healthcare, education, and adequate housing. Such actions constitute a clear violation of Tel Aviv’s obligations as an occupying power under international humanitarian law.
