According to the English section of webangah News agency, citing Mehr News Agency and Baratha News Agency, Ayatollah Sayyid Ali Sistani’s office issued a statement yesterday denying any official position on Iraq’s 2025 parliamentary elections. The office emphasized that it has not released any statement or guidance on this matter.
This denial came after a message attributed to his office circulated on social media, suggesting that participation in the elections should be left to the discretion of citizens.
