Palestinian Ambassador in Libya Responds to Rumor Circulation
According to the english section of webangah News agency, citing Mehr News Agency via Russia Today, Muhammad al-Rahal, the Palestinian ambassador to Libya, denied rumors circulating in media outlets and social media suggesting plans to settle Palestinians in libya and grant them citizenship.
He added that such rumors aim to stir discord between the Palestinian and Libyan peoples.Palestinians residing in Libya migrated there,along with several othre regional countries,after the 1948 Nakba.They continue living with their Palestinian identity documents.
Al-Rahal emphasized that Palestinians living in Libya reject acquiring Libyan citizenship and consistently assert their right of return to their homeland.
This is not the first time similar rumors have emerged about relocating Gaza residents to other countries like Libya.
