According to the English section of webangah News Agency, citing the Associated Press,U.S. President Donald Trump made ambiguous remarks highlighting Ukraine’s apparent inability to defeat Russia in the ongoing war.
Trump’s latest comments deepen his earlier doubts about Kyiv, even as he plans to meet Russian President Vladimir Putin face-to-face in Budapest, Hungary, in the coming weeks to discuss ending the ukraine conflict.
Before a meeting at the White House with Australian Prime Minister Anthony Albanese, Trump told reporters: “They (Ukraine) can still win. I don’t think it will happen, but they can win.”
Last month, Trump shifted from his longstanding position that Ukraine should cede some territory and cannot reclaim all areas occupied by Russia.

Addressing his repeated changes of stance on kyiv’s prospects in the conflict, Trump offered a grim assessment: ”I never said they would win. I said they could. Anything is possible. You know, war is a very strange thing!”
