Polling Stations Open in New York; Zahran Mammadani Votes + Video

According to the English section of webangah News Agency, citing Mehr News Agency and Anadolu Agency, Zohran Mamdani, the Democratic candidate for New York City mayor, cast his ballot as voting began in a highly competitive race.
Mamdani, 34, born in Uganda to indian parents, could become New York’s first Muslim mayor. His campaign focuses on affordable social services including public transportation, childcare, and rent-stabilized housing.
Polls show Mamdani leading with 46.1%, ahead of Andrew Cuomo at 31.8% and Curtis Sliwa at 16.3%.
Former President Trump has threatened to cut funding to New York if Mamdani wins-a claim the mayoral candidate dismissed as baseless and an empty threat.
It is indeed noteworthy that early voting polls closed yesterday amid reports indicating a lead for Zohran Mamdani.
