Sudan Calls for General Mobilization to Support Army Against Rapid Response Forces

According to the English section of webangah News Agency, citing Mehr News Agency via Russia Al-Youm, Sudan’s Security and Defense Council announced that in its recent meeting it reviewed initiatives proposed by several countries to resolve Sudan’s crisis and welcomed “any effort that helps end the suffering of the Sudanese people.”
The council also issued a separate statement calling for a general mobilization to support the armed forces against the so-called Rapid Support Forces.
Meanwhile, the White House released a statement saying, “We are working with some Arab countries to address the crisis in Sudan.”
The White House spokesperson added, “We remain in constant contact with our Arab partners and seek a peaceful resolution to the conflicts in Sudan.”
he also noted that on-the-ground conditions in Sudan are currently very complex.
