Islamic Jihad: US Plan Imposes Custodianship Over Gaza Strip

According to the English section of webangah News Agency, quoting Mehr News Agency, Muhammad Al-Hindi, Deputy Secretary-General of the Islamic Jihad Movement, told Al Jazeera Mubasher that they cannot agree to establishing an international force to replace the occupation in Gaza.
He added that the US draft resolution aims to shift the Palestinian issue from a national liberation project into a humanitarian case.
Al-Hindi said the American draft intended for submission to the Security Council is vague.
He warned that Gaza’s technocratic administrative committee must have Palestinian authority rather than be subordinate to a peace council.
He continued: “It is indeed unacceptable for Israel to hold veto power over which countries participate in Gaza’s international force.”
Al-Hindi stated that America’s plan as announced represents an attempt to impose international tutelage on Gaza Strip.
The Deputy Secretary-General emphasized: ”Any disarmament plan in Gaza is doomed to fail, and no faction has authority to agree on disarming the Palestinian people.”
Al-Hindi concluded by warning that Netanyahu delays under false pretexts and refuses progressing toward a second phase of agreement.
