Kabul: Pakistan’s Lack of Cooperation Blocks Progress in Istanbul Talks

According to the English section of webangah News Agency, citing Al jazeera via Mehr News agency, Afghanistan’s Interim Government Ministry of Foreign Affairs released a statement on Sunday accusing pakistan of undermining the third round of bilateral talks in Istanbul.
The statement from afghanistan’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs read: “The Afghan delegation participated in the Istanbul negotiations with sincere intentions to find a solution. The Pakistani side showed no willingness to make any commitments during the third round.”
The ministry added that Pakistan’s lack of cooperation obstructed any meaningful progress in the Istanbul talks.
Simultaneously occurring, Pakistan’s Defense Minister previously told Geo News regarding the Istanbul negotiations after border clashes with Afghanistan that “talks between the two countries have been suspended due to unclear outcomes. A complete deadlock has been reached. The negotiations have entered an uncertain phase.”
