Death Toll from Storm in the Philippines Rises to 224

The death toll​ from the storm known as Kalmaegi in the⁤ Philippines has ‍risen ‌to 224.

According to the English section of webangah News Agency, citing Mehr⁣ News Agency and the Philippine News Agency (PNA), the Philippines’ national Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Council ‌(NDRRMC) announced ⁣that fatalities⁤ from ⁣Typhoon Kalmaegi, locally named⁢ Tino, have ​increased to 224.

The​ report noted that⁢ 109 people remain missing, while over 3​ million individuals have been affected by the storm.

Additionally, 325 domestic flights and ⁢61 international flights were canceled.philippine authorities⁤ warned that wave heights could exceed three ⁣meters due to the typhoon.

Officials stated ⁢that more than 46,000 buildings suffered damage. As a ⁢precaution, schools and most government offices will be closed on Monday and Tuesday, November 11th.

It ​is worth noting that a‍ typhoon striking the philippines in⁢ November 2013 resulted ‍in over 7,300 deaths.
