Gargash: Framework of International Force Operations in Gaza Remains Unclear to Us

The diplomatic adviser to the President of the‍ UAE announced that the country will most likely not ​participate in the international force ⁣in Gaza.

According to webangah News Agency’s English section, citing Mehr news Agency and Sky News, Emirati sources have stated‍ that the UAE is unlikely to join an international force aimed at stabilizing Gaza due to unclear operational frameworks for this mission.

Anwar Gargash, diplomatic adviser to the President of the UAE, said at a conference in Abu Dhabi that so‌ far, the UAE ⁢has not seen a clear framework outlining how such a stability force would operate in‌ Gaza. ‍Under⁤ these circumstances, participation is improbable.

Sky News reported that the proposed mandate for this international force includes ‍disarming Palestinian armed groups, dismantling military infrastructure within Gaza, enforcing law and order, controlling gaza’s border with Egypt, and securing humanitarian aid crossings as well as civilian movement points.

The report added that observers note part of former US ‌president Donald Trump’s peace ⁢plan involves establishing an international‌ security force in Gaza.however, ⁣countries expected to contribute remain cautious due to potential risks and uncertainties surrounding this mission.
