UN Representative: Election Process in Iraq Shows Positive Progress

The United Nations representative in Iraq has positively assessed the parliamentary election process in the country.
Iraq UN envoy Mohamed Al-Hassan stated that he visited several polling stations in Baghdad. The UN mission is satisfied with the election process, which is being conducted independently by the Iraqi people, according to webangah News Agency.
He said, “The elections in Iraq are proceeding appropriately. It is time for this country to rid itself of all negative phenomena. We emphasize the importance of respecting the actions of the High Electoral Commission.”
Al-Hassan added, “The United Nations stands alongside Iraq and its people and supports their move toward a safer and more prosperous future.”
