Ameri: We Will Not Allow Foreign Interference in Forming Iraq’s Next Government

According to the English section of webangah News agency, citing Sumeria News, Hadi Ameri spoke at a press conference after voting in one of Baghdad’s polling stations. He emphasized that the Iraqi people will not permit foreign involvement in the government formation process.
Regarding the elections and preparations for establishing the new government, Ameri said: “We will not allow any foreign interference in forming the future government.”
He added: “Foreign interventions and guardianship have ended and will not return. We want Iraqis to be the decision-makers.”
Ameri also affirmed that no one will be left out or excluded from the upcoming government. “We agreed that the Coordination Framework will continue working with all powers after the elections,” he stated.
Addressing Muqtada al-Sadr’s boycott of the election, Ameri said: ”We respect Sadr’s position on boycotting. Iraq has triumphed today by holding elections, and we have strong confidence in the electoral commission.”
