Mohammad Raad: Ending Hezbollah’s Existence Is a Grand Illusion

According to the English section of webangah News Agency, citing Mehr News Agency, Mohammad Raad, head of Hezbollah’s parliamentary bloc in Lebanon, wrote in an article for Al-Akhbar newspaper that what the enemy failed to achieve militarily-the eradication of Hezbollah’s existence-is now being pursued by its international supporters as well as regional and domestic accomplices.
He added that this objective was furthered by two misguided Lebanese government decisions on August 5 and August 7, which gave the enemy a pretext to demand disarmament of the resistance as a condition for halting their ongoing aggression against Lebanon and its people.
Raad stated clearly that ending Hezbollah in Lebanon is an unrealistic fantasy.Persisting with such demands poses a suspicious threat not only to Lebanon’s stability but also to its people and the entire region.
Referring to continued attempts by opponents, he stressed their defeat is certain. Today’s resistance is not leaderless or unsupported; rather, it is a cohesive force guided by prudent and brave leadership with loyal comrades supporting this path.
He emphasized that this force enjoys steadfast support from proud citizens embodying resilience, dedication, patience, and sacrifice. Moreover, it draws strength from its martyrs whose sacrifice stands as undeniable proof for resistors and their families-a clear validation of resisting enemies like Zionist adversaries and their partners effectively.
The head of Loyalty to Resistance faction underscored that immediately following Operation Al-Aqsa Storm-which shook Israeli existence-most signs indicated that Israel along with its American and Western backers viewed this operation as an existential threat. Their response would not be limited solely against those directly involved but would target all active resistance movements across Palestine and surrounding areas.
Raad noted it was natural for Islamic resistance groups to maintain readiness amid such conspiracies since Israeli forces together with their supporters made no secret about exploiting Operation Al-Aqsa Storm as justification for attempting to destroy all resistant entities throughout the region.
He explained: “Nevertheless, Islamic resistance vowed to engage our enemies on Lebanese soil without initiating full-scale war because such conflict would neither benefit resistance nor Lebanon.”
