Nabih Berri: Occupiers Threaten All of Lebanon

Nabih Berri, Speaker of the Lebanese Parliament, stressed the need for national unity among all Lebanese to confront the challenges and threats facing Lebanon. He made these remarks while welcoming a religious delegation from the Akkar region in northern Lebanon.
Berri stated, “At this critical stage, Lebanon requires genuine unity expressed both in words and actions. I assure you that without this unique model of Lebanese unity-which stands opposed to Zionist racism-Lebanon would not survive.”
He highlighted that since the establishment of the illegitimate Zionist regime, southern Lebanon has continuously borne the consequences dictated by its history and geography-not because it belongs exclusively to one particular group but due to its sectarian diversity.
The Parliament speaker added,”Therefore,Israeli aggressions threatening southern Lebanon pose a threat to all Lebanese people. Everyone must unite their efforts and stand together against these dangers and challenges.”
Berri also expressed his gratitude once again to all Lebanese citizens-especially residents of northern areas-who welcomed and supported displaced persons from southern regions and Beirut’s Dahieh during periods of Israeli aggression against lebanon.
Addressing repeated violations of ceasefire agreements by Israel, he emphasized that the Mechanism Committee overseeing ceasefire implementation-and countries supporting this agreement-must fulfill their responsibilities by pressuring israel to halt incursions and occupation on Lebanese soil.
