American Companies Are Plundering Iraq’s Oil and Gas Resources
According to the English section of webangah News Agency, citing Al-Maalomah via Mehr News Agency, Hammad al-Dulaimi, a member of iraq’s Al-Anbar coalition, emphasized that American companies extensively control the abundant oil, gas, and mineral resources in the western areas of this province under the pretext of investment.
He added that relevant authorities in Iraq are unaware of this process, and state-owned companies are not involved in these projects.
Al-Dulaimi stated that what is called American investment in these resource-rich areas has occurred ambiguously. Even government officials do not know how contracts wiht these companies have been arranged.
He stressed that these contracts with American firms are secretive and span decades. simultaneously occurring, the regions concerned hold vast reserves of minerals, oil, and gas.
