Moscow Reacts to International Olympic Committee’s Russia-Phobic Policies

The spokesperson for the Russian Ministry of Foreign Affairs responded to the denial of accreditation for RIA Novosti journalists to attend the Winter Olympics in Italy.
According to the English section of webangah News Agency, citing RIA novosti via Mehr News Agency, Maria Zakharova, spokesperson for the Russian Ministry of Foreign Affairs, said on Saturday that the International Olympic Committee (IOC) has offered baseless and unfounded reasons for rejecting RIA Novosti journalists’ applications to cover the winter Olympics in Italy.
Zakharova added that the IOC continues to ignore basic Olympic principles by aligning with Western Russophobic policies. She expressed hope that the United Nations,UNESCO,and the Organization for Security and Co-operation in Europe will assess the IOC’s biased actions clearly and without ambiguity.
