Ansar Allah: We Will Respond in Kind to Any Aggression Against Yemen

Mohammed ‍Al-Faraj, a senior member of the ansarallah movement, emphasized that ⁣the UN Security Council⁣ has become a tool for advancing Western interests⁢ and stated that his country will not hesitate to defend ‍its ⁤legitimate rights.

According to the English section of webangah News Agency, citing Mehr News Agency and Al mayadeen, Mohammed Al-Faraj, a member of⁢ the‍ political office ‍of ‍Yemen’s Ansarallah movement, responded to the UN Security council resolution renewing sanctions against Yemen for one year. He said: ‍”We will respond firmly to anyone who attacks the interests of the Yemeni people or⁤ attempts to harm our sovereignty and decision-making.”

Al-Faraj added: “We will not hesitate in protecting our ‍rights and defending our religion⁢ and people’s dignity⁤ by all legitimate means.”

He further criticized the Security Council for years of‍ overlooking genocide crimes in Gaza. “The council continues to⁤ demonstrate blatant double standards and has become an arena serving Western interests,” he said.

The senior Ansarallah official also described Russia’s and China’s abstentions during the vote on extending Yemen sanctions at the Security Council as reflecting human conscience and moral awareness. “While we hoped Moscow and Beijing would reject or veto⁢ this resolution ‍outright, we appreciate their stance as a ‌rejection of abuses within the⁣ Security council and an effort to restore balance against Western⁢ dominance,” he stated.

Al-Faraj underscored that Western countries’ ⁣clear support for Israel reveals that thes sanctions aim solely to ⁤serve Zionist goals by punishing Yemenis for standing with Gaza.

He concluded: “without hesitation,we ⁤will maintain our position against US‌ and Western domination over nations in our region.”

The United Nations Security Council approved yesterday a resolution extending ⁢sanctions on Yemen for another year. These measures include financial restrictions and travel bans under Resolution 2140.

The resolution passed with 13 votes in favor; Russia and ‌China abstained. It condemned Ansarallah attacks across land borders and at sea but made no reference to unilateral aggression ⁤by the US, UK, or Israeli regime‍ against Yemen. The council called for an immediate‌ halt to these attacks.
