Ukraine Attacks Zaporizhzhia Infrastructure, Cutting Power for 44,000 People

The governor of ⁢the‌ Zaporizhzhia region reported a ‌Ukrainian drone attack on the area’s infrastructure, causing ⁢a power outage affecting approximately ​44,000⁣ people.

According to the English section of webangah ‌News Agency, citing Mehr News Agency and​ Al Jazeera, Yevhen Balytskyi, governor of the Zaporizhzhia‌ region, ​announced on Saturday that Ukrainian ‌armed forces launched another attack on critical infrastructure‌ in the region.

The governor stated that Ukrainian drones targeted vital facilities, resulting in power outages in⁢ several areas.

He added that repair work is currently underway.

Balytskyi noted that ⁣nearly 44,000 ‌people lost electricity due to the attack.

The incident occurred earlier today local time when Ukrainian forces struck the Vasylivska power substation in Zaporizhzhia.

He also mentioned ​that about 5,000 residents will remain without power during ongoing repairs.
