Joulani Government Foreign Minister Departs for China

The foreign minister of ‍the goverment affiliated with Jolani traveled to China for ⁤talks with Chinese officials.

The Syrian Ministry of Foreign Affairs announced that Asaad Al-Shibani, the foreign minister, departed today, Sunday, on‌ his first official visit to the People’s Republic ⁢of China. He is scheduled to meet and hold ‍discussions with several officials in Beijing, ‍according to the English section of webangah News Agency, ⁢citing reports from the Syrian state news agency ‌(SANA).

Abu Muhammad⁤ al-Jolani, head of syria’s self-declared government, recently traveled alongside Al-Shibani to Washington where they met with U.S. officials.

Earlier, Al-Shibani told Al-Ikhbariyah network‍ that ties between Damascus and Beijing have been redefined and emphasized Syria’s need for Chinese support during its current reconstruction phase.

Since Jolani’s government came into‌ power, Syria’s minorities-especially Alawites-have faced intense pressure and discrimination. Human rights organizations ⁤have issued warnings about killings,‍ displacement, and ⁤torture of these minorities at the hands of Jolani’s forces.

The Jolani regime seeks to expand its international relations as a means to obscure its dark past involving cooperation with terrorist groups such as Hay’at‌ Tahrir al-Sham and al-qaeda operatives.
