Trump Does Not Rule Out Sending Ground Troops to Venezuela

The president of ‍the United States ⁤stated that​ the possibility of deploying ground troops to Venezuela remains open amid ongoing tensions between the two countries.

According to⁢ the English section of webangah News Agency, citing mehr News Agency ⁤and⁢ Sputnik, Donald Trump responded to a reporter’s question in the Oval Office about whether he ruled out sending troops to Venezuela by saying, “No, I do not rule out that possibility. I do not dismiss anything.‌ We just have to handle the⁢ situation in ⁣Venezuela.”

In recent months,the ⁢United States has increased its military ⁤presence in ⁤the Caribbean Sea near Venezuela’s‌ borders under the⁣ pretext of combating⁤ drug traffickers.

washington has been targeting vessels passing‌ near ‍Venezuelan waters, claiming these actions are part of anti-drug trafficking efforts. The White House⁣ has provided no detailed evidence ‌confirming that those targeted in over 20 attacks across the Caribbean and eastern Pacific were indeed traffickers.
