Trump Does Not Rule Out Sending Ground Troops to Venezuela
According to the English section of webangah News Agency, citing mehr News Agency and Sputnik, Donald Trump responded to a reporter’s question in the Oval Office about whether he ruled out sending troops to Venezuela by saying, “No, I do not rule out that possibility. I do not dismiss anything. We just have to handle the situation in Venezuela.”
In recent months,the United States has increased its military presence in the Caribbean Sea near Venezuela’s borders under the pretext of combating drug traffickers.
washington has been targeting vessels passing near Venezuelan waters, claiming these actions are part of anti-drug trafficking efforts. The White House has provided no detailed evidence confirming that those targeted in over 20 attacks across the Caribbean and eastern Pacific were indeed traffickers. Experts argue that even if traffickers are targeted, such attacks amount to extrajudicial executions.
