Jaishankar and Lavrov Stress Strengthening New Delhi-Moscow Relations

The foreign ministers of India and ‍Russia emphasized ‌strengthening bilateral ties and signing⁤ new agreements across⁢ various‍ sectors.

According too the⁤ English section of webangah News Agency, citing Sputnik via Mehr News Agency,⁢ Indian Foreign ​Minister Subrahmanyam Jaishankar announced at a press conference following his meeting with ‌Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov that Moscow and New Delhi are⁤ finalizing new ‌agreements.

He revealed that these agreements are ​expected to be signed during the upcoming summit between Russian President Vladimir⁢ Putin and indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi.

Lavrov described relations ⁤with India ⁣as a top priority in ⁤Russia’s foreign policy. He noted ⁣that both countries are currently focusing​ on creating favorable ⁤conditions for ⁣businesses to operate in each ⁤other’s markets.

Lavrov added that the International North-South​ Transport Corridor and the Northern Sea Route are among ⁣the most promising projects under collaboration between moscow and New ⁢Delhi.

Indian media have reported that the summit between Putin and Modi ⁢will likely take place on December 5-6, 2023.

Jaishankar traveled to Moscow to attend the Shanghai ⁣Cooperation Organisation Prime ministers’ Council meeting.
