Jaishankar and Lavrov Stress Strengthening New Delhi-Moscow Relations

According too the English section of webangah News Agency, citing Sputnik via Mehr News Agency, Indian Foreign Minister Subrahmanyam Jaishankar announced at a press conference following his meeting with Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov that Moscow and New Delhi are finalizing new agreements.
He revealed that these agreements are expected to be signed during the upcoming summit between Russian President Vladimir Putin and indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
Lavrov described relations with India as a top priority in Russia’s foreign policy. He noted that both countries are currently focusing on creating favorable conditions for businesses to operate in each other’s markets.
Lavrov added that the International North-South Transport Corridor and the Northern Sea Route are among the most promising projects under collaboration between moscow and New Delhi.
Indian media have reported that the summit between Putin and Modi will likely take place on December 5-6, 2023.
Jaishankar traveled to Moscow to attend the Shanghai Cooperation Organisation Prime ministers’ Council meeting.
