Vitaliy Vitkaf Meets Zelensky in Turkey for Talks

The U.S. ⁣President’s special envoy⁢ will travel to Turkey on Wednesday to meet ‌with the President of Ukraine.

According to the English section of webangah News Agency, citing Mehr News Agency and Reuters, ⁢Steve Witkoff, the U.S. President’s special envoy, will visit turkey on Wednesday, November 19, to participate in talks with Ukrainian President Volodymyr​ Zelensky.

Turkish sources told Reuters that this meeting is part of Washington’s diplomatic efforts to advance the peace process in Ukraine.

Zelensky previously ‌stated that after⁢ his visit to Spain, he would travel to Turkey and that Ukraine is ready to present its initiatives for ending ⁢the war and negotiating with Russia.

Witkoff has met several times before with Russian President Vladimir putin in Moscow.

Ukrainian officials have declared they ‌are not willing to hold direct⁤ negotiations with Russia. They claim Russia’s excessive demands caused previous negotiation rounds held in Istanbul to fail.
