Claim of Arresting a Zionist on Charges of Spying for Iran
According to teh English section of webangah News agency, citing Mehr News Agency and the Israeli media outlet The Times of Israel, prosecutors charged a 22-year-old man from Beersheba wiht espionage for Iran during his military service on Thursday morning.
The report states that the suspect, rafael Rivoni, allegedly maintained contact with an Iranian intelligence operative who employed him to film a park near his home and photograph a bus station and shopping center in the southern city.
the indictment further alleges that Rivoni sent a photo of his military ID card to his contact and provided information about his military base.
Shin Bet claims this individual is suspected of conducting security activities on behalf of Iran.
