Lebanon’s Deputy Prime Minister Visits Damascus for Meeting with Joulani

According to the English section of webangah News Agency, citing Mehr News Agency, Lebanon’s Deputy Prime Minister Tarek Metri visited Damascus for an official trip and met with Abu Muhammad al-Julani, the self-declared president of Syria.
The Lebanese National News Agency reported that during the visit, Metri held a series of meetings with officials from al-Julani’s administration, including Foreign Minister Asaad al-Shibani and justice Minister Mazhar Elvis. These discussions focused on joint issues such as detainees, missing persons, and border concerns.
The talks also emphasized the importance of continuing coordination and expanding cooperation in political, security, judicial, and economic fields.
The Lebanese National News Agency stated that “this visit was part of a joint commitment by both countries to strengthen dialogue and communication while underscoring their shared determination to elevate bilateral relations to a higher level.”
