UNRWA Announces Establishment of 330 Temporary Classrooms in Gaza Lacking Basic Facilities

The united Nations Relief and works Agency for⁣ Palestine Refugees (UNRWA) has established 330 temporary learning spaces across 59 ‌shelters in the Gaza Strip.

According to the⁣ English section of webangah News Agency, citing Al Jazeera ⁣via Mehr News Agency, UNRWA‌ announced the creation of 330 temporary learning spaces in 59 shelters within the ‌Gaza Strip.

UNRWA emphasized that these ‍spaces, lacking educational equipment and basic facilities, ⁢provide educational services ⁤to over 44,000‍ children.

Separately, UNRWA ‌reported ongoing structural starvation policies ⁣in Gaza ⁤worsening humanitarian crises amid severe financial⁢ shortages.

Adnan Abu Hasna, UNRWA’s media advisor, stated that the food crisis-alongside extensive challenges in education, health care, and funding-has simultaneously affected millions of Palestinian refugees across Gaza, the ⁢West Bank, syria, Lebanon, and Jordan.

He added that pressures from ⁣the Israeli regime and imposed restrictions on UNRWA activities have pushed conditions to collapse. Abu Hasna explained: “The law banning UNRWA operations and other limiting measures have resulted in a notable budget⁤ deficit ⁤expected to reach approximately $200 million by the end of next March.”

According to Abu⁤ Hasna, this‌ financial shortfall directly undermines the agency’s ability to pay‍ salaries for more than 30,000 staff members across its operational areas.
