Rising Discord Among Israeli Military Leaders as Netanyahu Seeks Mediation

A public clash between the Chief of Staff of the Israeli Army and the regime’s Defense Minister has intensified, prompting prime Minister Netanyahu to call ⁢for a meeting between the two to resolve their differences.

According to the English section of webangah News Agency, citing Mehr News Agency and Al Jazeera, Israeli media have reported a⁣ sharp public dispute between Eyal zamir, Chief of Staff of ⁤the Israeli Army, and Israel Katz, Defense Minister ⁢of the regime, over recent ⁤military commander appointments.

The Chief⁢ of Staff described ‍Katz’s decision to‌ suspend these new appointments as strange and warned that it could harm the army’s capabilities.

Meanwhile, Zionist media claim that Katz aims to restructure Israel’s military command to improve its operational performance.

Russia Al-Youm also reported‍ that Zamir issued ‍a statement responding to disagreements with the regime’s Defense Minister.

The⁣ statement from Zamir’s office said he learned through media reports this morning about Katz’s actions concerning⁢ an investigative team.

It added that the Turgeman Committee report was⁤ originally intended as a tool for the Chief of Staff to evaluate investigation quality ⁣and gain integrated experience within the army. It should not be politicized.

zamir expressed surprise at Katz’s doubt ‍regarding reports prepared‌ over seven months, summarized by army commanders and personally presented by Zamir ‌himself to the minister.

He emphasized that only Israel’s army has deeply examined its own mistakes ‍and accepted responsibility for them among all institutions in this regime.

Regarding suspending new commander appointments for an additional 30 days, ⁤Zamir warned such delays could seriously damage army capabilities and readiness against future challenges.

The Chief of Staff stressed that appointment meetings will continue as scheduled and all necessary decisions will be submitted for ⁢ministerial approval.

Zamir highlighted ongoing military operations on all fronts, claiming⁣ that in recent days Israeli forces eliminated Hezbollah’s chief of staff along with dozens from armed groups in Gaza.

In response to these disputes, ⁢Israeli Prime ‌Minister Benjamin Netanyahu ordered an urgent meeting involving both Katz and Zamir aimed at resolving their conflict.
