United Nations: We Are Not Participating in Ukraine Peace Talks

The United Nations does not participate in negotiations on Ukraine peace proposals and is only monitoring developments, saeid Stéphane Dujarric, spokesperson for the UN Secretary-General.
Addressing recent media reports about new versions of the US peace plan for Ukraine, Dujarric said, “We are closely watching all these developments but we are not a party to the talks.”
The governance of former US President Donald trump introduced a 28-point plan aiming to end the war between Ukraine and Russia. Under this plan,Kyiv would cede part of its territory to Moscow in exchange for security guarantees and accept restrictions on its military capabilities.
The European Union and other Ukrainian allies have reacted negatively to the US proposal, describing it as fulfilling Russia’s demands. The White house maintains that Trump’s plan reflects both parties’ interests and ensures their security.
