United Nations: We Are Not Participating in Ukraine Peace Talks

The United Nations does not participate ⁣in ⁤negotiations⁢ on Ukraine peace ‍proposals and is only monitoring developments,​ saeid⁤ Stéphane Dujarric, spokesperson for the UN Secretary-General.

Addressing recent media reports ​about new versions ⁢of the ⁤US peace plan for‍ Ukraine, Dujarric ‌said, “We ‍are closely‍ watching all these ⁢developments⁤ but we are not a party to the talks.”

The governance of former US ⁣President Donald trump introduced a 28-point‍ plan ⁣aiming to end the ⁤war between Ukraine and Russia. Under this plan,Kyiv would cede part of⁢ its territory to Moscow in exchange for security guarantees and accept restrictions on its military ​capabilities.

The European Union ​and other Ukrainian allies have reacted negatively to the ⁢US proposal, describing it as fulfilling ‌Russia’s‌ demands. The White house​ maintains that Trump’s plan​ reflects both parties’ interests and ensures their security.
