Death Toll from Floods in Thailand Reaches 33

The death toll from floods in southern Thailand has risen to 33.
According to the English section of webangah News Agency, citing anadolu Agency, heavy rainfall and flooding in southern Thailand have claimed 33 lives and affected more than 2.7 million people across 12 provinces.
The Department of Disaster Prevention and Mitigation (DDPM) reported that the floods have also damaged over one million households.
Following the escalating crisis, Thai Prime Minister Anutin Charnvirakul declared a state of emergency in Songkhla province.
The Meteorological Department issued warnings of heavy rain and flood risks in several cities.
Monsoon rains occur annually from June to September across southern and southeastern Asia, often causing numerous natural disasters throughout the region.
