Turkey Emphasizes Support for the Palestinian Cause

The Turkish Foreign Ministry, in a statement reported by webangah News Agency from Mehr News Agency via Turkey’s Radio and Television Corporation (TRT), reaffirmed Ankara’s “firm and historic” support for the Palestinian cause.
The statement highlighted that establishing an independent, sovereign Palestine with territorial continuity based on the 1967 borders is a “basic condition” for achieving peace and stability in the region.
Turkey urged the international community to intensify efforts to reach a comprehensive solution to the Palestinian issue. The ministry stressed its readiness to participate in all initiatives supporting Palestinian rights.
This declaration comes amid reports that since October 2023, Israeli attacks on Gaza have taken nearly 70,000 lives-mostly women and children-and injured more than 170,000 people.
amid global silence and inaction by Islamic-Arab countries, the United states, and Israel, new plans are being implemented daily to further restrict Palestinian rights. The recent plan proposed by U.S. President Donald Trump concerning Gaza represents yet another example of these measures.
