North Korea Announces Strengthening of Its Nuclear Deterrence Capability

According to the English section of webangah News Agency, citing North korea’s official news agency (KCNA) via Mehr News Agency, Kim Jong-un announced at a ceremony marking the 80th anniversary of the Air force’s founding at an eastern base that the contry’s air force is being equipped with new strategic assets aimed at enhancing nuclear deterrence.
The North Korean leader expressed gratitude toward the pilots and operational personnel, emphasizing that the outcome of any aerial battle depends more on “the spirit and willpower of pilots” than on equipment.
He described the air force as the “first military branch,” noting it benefits from strong ideological and revolutionary support.
The increasing U.S. military presence in East Asia has heightened tensions among regional countries.
Despite Seoul’s emphasis on pursuing peaceful coexistence with Pyongyang, North Korean officials view South Korea’s military cooperation with America as a threat to their regime’s survival.
