Venezuela Condemns US Court Decision to Sell CITGO as ‘Fraud’

According to the International Desk of Webangah News Agency, Venezuela’s Vice President Delcy Rodriguez has vehemently rejected the U.S. court decision to sell CITGO, an American-based oil company owned by a Venezuelan firm. Rodriguez characterized the move as a transparent and inhumane effort to deprive Venezuela of its property through what she termed a “fraud.”
Rodriguez stated that the judicial decision severely damages Venezuela’s interests and its institutions, and the government views it as a clear violation of its sovereignty. She emphasized that Venezuela will strive to defend its national interests against this action.
CITGO, officially Citgo Petroleum Corporation, refines petroleum, produces petrochemicals, and distributes gasoline.
