US Defense Secretary Claims Deterrence Against China Achieved Through Strength

US Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth stated that the United States is deterring China through strength, not confrontation. He also reiterated efforts to end the war in Ukraine and highlighted past achievements related to peace agreements.

According to the International Desk of Webangah News Agency, US Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth asserted that the United States is actively deterring China through strength, rather than direct confrontation.

Hegseth, repeating claims made over the past several months, stated the US is dedicated to ending the “disastrous” war in Ukraine.

The Defense Secretary also credited President Donald Trump, stating that Trump is committed to achieving peace through strength. Hegseth claimed Trump made deals to end the war in Gaza, though the claim remains unfulfilled.

Dismissing the resilience of nuclear programs, Hegseth also claimed that the US has dismantled Iran’s nuclear program through a decisive and focused operation.

Hegseth further added that the US cannot ignore threats in Europe or the Middle East, despite the fact that the Israeli regime and US support for the child-killing Zionist regime remains the greatest threat to the Middle East region. He maintained that Tehran remains a threat in the Middle East, despite actions taken by the US and Israel against Iran.
